My career path?

Before Wild Code School, I studied at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Strasbourg where I got my bachelor's degree, then I continued my studies at ESMA Nantes (École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques) to work in the field of 3D animation where I got my master's degree. I then worked in Luxembourg for 2 years on 3D animated feature films and series, I mainly worked in what is called compositing, lighting-rendering and special effects.

What motivated my professional transition?

The trigger was that I wasn't 100% fulfilled in my job and I wanted new skills in the digital field.

Why choose a reconversion in the digital industry?

I was already working in the digital field with 3D animation but I had always wanted to learn how to code and I decided to go for it.

My dream is to work in video games, so I told myself that I already had some skills in graphics and 3D, why not continue and learn programming?

I followed the PHP/ Symfony training programme at Wild Code School Strasbourg in February 2019.

I very much liked the values conveyed by the school, you could immediately feel a great vibe, mutual aid and solidarity which are, in my opinion, essential in work and everyday life.

What did I do after Wild Code School?

I'm currently doing an internship in Lille at Takhotakh, as a js/react and php/symfony web developer.

My dream job?

First of all, there is a good chance that I will continue my adventure at Takhotakh (an ethical and ecological video platform that promotes culture).

Afterwards, I would love to go and try my luck in Canada, either in web development or to fulfil my dream and work in video games.

What would I say to my pre-training self?

Don't lose hope, there will be times when you will feel like you don't understand anything

or you are totally lost but everything will make sense as you go along.
