First of all, what is a web developer job?
The job of a web developer consists of creating, writing, testing and documenting websites, applications or software. A developer works in a team, most often with clients, project managers and other web developers. Find out all about the web developer job.
If I am a beginner, can I join the web development course?
Our training is open to all adults without prerequisite or diploma (you can integrate the web developer training without a high school diploma for example). There is no typical profile at Wild Code School. Our students are between 18 and 58 years old and are professionals in transition or wishing to develop new skills or upskill, job seekers, young graduates, entrepreneurs... Above all, we are looking for a state of mind characterized by the desire to succeed, creativity to find solutions and the ability to work in a team. To join Wild Code School, all you have to do is validate our application process.
What is the format of the 5-month web development course? Can I choose distance live learning?
You will have the choice to complete your 5-month training either on-campus or via our remote format. If you choose the remote option, you will connect each morning to your class to meet the instructor and the other students in your class live. Most of the instructional activities of our training will be completed live in teams.
How to register for the web development course?
You must complete our 3-step application process to register for our training course:
Registration on our website: you will have to fill in a form and choose the course and the campus of your choice. Our training courses take place on campus or remotely. If you want to join a remote training course, you just have to select the "Remote" campus in the language of your choice.
Motivational interview: you will discuss your professional project and your motivation to join Wild Code School with an admissions manager.
Technical interview: you will present your tech challenge (an exercise to be completed after the motivational interview) and discuss with an instructor whether you have the potential to become a tech specialist.
The application process can be completed in 1 week and registrations are open until 7 days before the start of the course.

At Wild Code School, you learn how to learn and adapt to the tech market evolutions, but we also choose to train you in the languages most in demand by recruiters!
During the 5-month training, you learn to master HTML and CSS - 2 languages at the base of all websites - then you specialize in a programming language and an framework: React/NodeJS, PHP/Symfony, Java/Angular, C#/ASP.Net, or Python/Django.
But that's not all! You will also learn how to use an API, design a database, write SQL queries, and much more...
At the end of your training, you will be able to write readable and sustainable code, and you will have the agility needed to: organize your watch, continue to train, learn other technologies and new languages.
What skills will I have acquired by the end of this course?
At the end of the training, you will have mastered the essential tools and programming languages to become a web developer. You will be able to design and develop an application, integrate a user interface and create a portfolio to become a tech professional.
You will have learned agile project management methods, understood and formalized the needs of a client and learned how to provide and receive clear and constructive feedback.
Our training is 100% professional and you will be directly employable after the training.

To what extent are soft-skills a part of the program?
Soft-skills are a big part of the course! We dedicate an entire module to soft skills to give you all the keys to become a good tech professional. During the training, you will learn how to explain technical topics to a non-technical person, participate and contribute to a community of developers, work in a team, improve your skills in an autonomous way, approach the profession of developer in a responsible way, create your portfolio of professional projects, develop your online presence and successfully apply to job offers as a web developer.
